Armi opera premiered at the Ilmajoki Music Festival

The opera Armi, about a remarkable Finnish woman, Armi Ratia, premiered at the Ilmajoki Music Festival on 8 June. Minna-Leena Lahti plays the role of the young Armi. The other roles are played by Lilli Paasikivi, Aarne Pelkonen, Piia Komsi, Mari Palo, Jeni Packalén, Tuomas Miettola and Nicholas Söderlund. The work is composed by Eeva Konttu, with libretto and direction by Heta Haanperä.
