Apollo Artists' summer concerts

Tami Pohjola is looking forward to a busy summer of chamber music in Finland. In June-July she can be heard at festivals such as Kangasala Classic 15.-18.6., Musiikkia! Ruovesi 29.6.-2.7. and The 53rd Kuhmo Chamber Music 9.-22.7. In August, Tami will perform at the Turku Music Festival in the concert English Romanticism on 11 August and as soloist of the Finnish Chamber Orchestra at the Tammisaari summer concert on 4 August.

Ossi Tanner will also spend an eventful summer in Finland. Ossi is the Co-Artistic Director of the Kamarikesä Festival in Helsinki together with violinist Abel Puustinen and clarinetist Klaara Vasara, and will also perform at the festival's concerts. Also he can be heard at Kangasala Classic in June.

Minna-Leena Lahti will perform at the Ilmajoki Music Festival from 8 to 18 June in the opera Armi. In the opera, based on Armi Ratia, she plays the role of the young Armi. Other roles include Lilli Paasikivi, Aarne Pelkonen, Piia Komsi, Mari Palo, Jeni Packalén, Tuomas Miettola and Nicholas Söderlund.  

Luke Terence Scott will be seen at the Savonlinna Opera Festival from 1 to 17 July as Pâris in Romeo and Juliet. Award-winning director and Artistic Director of the Copenhagen Opera Festival Amy Lane sets Shakespeare's story in late 19th century New York.

Kristian Sallinen will make his Swiss debut with the Basel Symphony Orchestra on 24 June. Kristian will also conduct the RSO in a concert Elämäni biisi at the Musiikkitalo on 2 June.

More concerts will be announced over the summer.
